He's playing my state fair next week, and I'll be going. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm a Big AC fan. Wait - he's playing a state fair? Oh, man. Something's just not right about that. Can you imagine Marylin Manson playing a state fair 25 years from now?

kinda boggles the mind.

Yah I know, the state fair has its "concert series" AC is being hosted by the local metal station. I'm just hoping he isn't washed up, otherwise

My girlfriend is friends with Alice's son! He's going to be playing at our fair in October, and his son is going to hook us up with tickets and backstage passes.

I am a HUGE Alice Cooper fan up to a point. When Alice Cooper was a band, and not a person. I really only care for the original lineup stuff, and the Welcome to my Nightmare album. Love that stuff to death! I can't stand the albums Alice did in the 80's though. But hell yeah, I would go, sounds like a fun time!

Cool

TCM, I highly recommend checking out 'The Last Temptation of Alice Cooper' , 'Brutal Planet',
'Dragontown' and 'The Eyes of Alice Cooper'
(His latest) They have the concept feel of the earlier stuff mixed with a 90's Hard Rock feel.
(IOW 'Down Tuned guitars') They are far better than the ultra commercial stuff from the 80's
'The Eyes of Alice Cooper' is really a tribute of sorts to the 'Alice Cooper Band' Really raw and a sort of Garage Rock style of old.
He was pretty messed up in the early eighties,
He's sober now and really has a great sound!
Best stuff he's done in years.

OK I'm jealous. I've tried to catch most of the recent show tours. I met him at tha ground breaking for 'Cooperstown' in Phoenix. He is a very down to earth cool guy. I've been a fan since I was 11. He's in fabulous shape, the voice is better than ever. I saw him at the 'Brutal Planet' opening /rehearsal show in Phoenix, and at the Ventura concert theatre here
in CA for the 'Dragontown' show. Both had excellent stage sets, and at 'Brutal Planet I was in the front row. IMHO he's a better singer
and performer than he was in the late '70s.
My son loves him too. I took him to the 'Dragontown' show. Pretty weird taking your kid to see the same guy you were rockin' out to when you were a kid
